This new state mandate requires on-premises alcoholic beverage servers and their managers to successfully complete an ABC-approved RBS training program. Follow these steps to become certified with the state of California:

Alcohol compliance training is designed to teach participants to prevent intoxication, drunk driving and underage drinking among the people to whom they sell or serve alcohol. This program addresses concerns specific to concessions, bars and other on-premise liquor license holders.

Describes how alcohol affects people, signs of intoxication to look for, and relevant information about alcohol that the server can use to serve more responsibly.

Intervention Information
Gives the user numerous guidelines for providing customer-friendly, responsible alcohol service. Frames the server's role in a three-step, easy-to-follow model.

STEP 1 - Register at https://abcbiz.abc.ca.gov/
- You will need your server ID number to activate the exam after you complete the
course
STEP 2 - Register and take a California RBS approved course. We recommend:
- www.liquorexam.com (Free with the Access Code: LAYHYU97 until the code expires) or
- www.servingalcohol.com ($12.50)
STEP 3 - Complete the approved course and log back into https://abcbiz.abc.ca.gov/ and take the
exam.
STEP 4 - Screenshot or download your certificate once you pass the exam on the RBS portal.
STEP 5 - Email your certificate to training@athleticedgeinc.com
